National Security Investigation

Represented senior executive in Department of Homeland Security in National Security
Investigation involving alleged contact with Russian Intelligence Service. The investigation was
eventually resolved with no charges and no adverse action against our client.

National Security Investigation

Represented American employee of American subsidiary of Russian Company in National Security Investigation involving alleged violations of International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). After extensive investigation, the FBI closed the investigation with no charges or adverse actions against our client.

FCPA Violations

Represented two Russian executives in investigation by Department of Justice into violations of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by European telecommunications company occurring in Central Asia. After extensive negotiations, we were able to secure immunity for both of our clients, and they were never named in any charges or settlement documents.

Fraud/FCPA Violations

Represented private military contractor accused of defrauding U.S. government, diverting military equipment for sale on black market and violating Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). After extensive investigation, we were able to prove no violations occurred, and the investigation ended without charges.

Administrative Discharge

Represented Army National Guard Major (O-4) in administrative discharge proceeding based upon use of marijuana. We were able to prove the drug test was unreliable, and Major was retained in the National Guard.

Board of Correction of Naval Records

Represented Navy Commander (O-5) in Board of Correction of Naval Records (BCNR) proceeding challenging adverse fitness report prepared by his former Commanding Officer. We were successful in having the fitness report removed from the record allowing Commander to be promoted.

Board of Correction of Naval Records

Represented private military contractor arrested in Afghanistan for allegedly transferring sensitive military equipment to Taliban or Taliban aligned forces. After securing the release of the contractor from custody, we were able to convince Army CID that the information it received was incorrect. Eventually, our client’s security clearance was restored, and he was able to return to Afghanistan for additional assignments.

Sexual Assault

Represented Navy Captain (O-6) in alleged sexual assault charges in Hawaii. After thorough investigation, we were able to convince Navy NCIS and the Convening Authority that no violations of the UCMJ occurred, and no charges were referred.

Fraud/False Statements/Conspiracy

Represented Army Colonel (O-6) on civilian charges of fraud, false statements, and conspiracy charges. Our client was able to retire from the Army as O-6. At trial in civil court, he was found not guilty of all felony charges.

Sexual Assault

Represented Army Colonel (O-6) on civilian charges of rape and sexual assault. On the eve of the trial, our client pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Invasion of Privacy, and all felony charges were dismissed. Our client received a short period of probation.

Obstruction of Justice/False Statements

Represented Navy Lieutenant Commander (O-4) in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Client was charged with multiple obstruction of justice and false statement charges as well as using marijuana. Our client was acquitted by a General Court-Martial of all charges except use of marijuana and received a minor sentence.

Sexual Assault

Represented Navy Chief Petty Officer (E-7) on charges of rape and sexual assault of minor. After trial by General Court-Martial, client was acquitted of all charges.

Homicide

Represented Navy First Class Petty Officer (E-6) on a charge of murder. Our client was acquitted of the homicide charge by General Court-Martial.

Theft of Flight Helmets and Flight Suits

Represented Marine Chief Warrant Officer on charges of theft of flight helmets and flight suits from squadron embarked on aircraft carrier. Our client was acquitted of all charges by a General Court-Martial.

Maiming/Aggravated Assault

Represented Navy Second Class Petty Officer (E-5) on charge of maiming after his stepson suffered a traumatic brain injury leaving him with a quadriplegic with limited brain function. Our client was acquitted of maiming and aggravated assault and convicted only of simple assault.
